Tuesday, August 23, 2005 ::: cover of 'Home' - too small but big enough to get me even more excited about the release. reminds me a little of the Talk on Corners cover. Not particularly thrilled about the artwork though - a bit too bland, a bit too white for my liking, Andrea could've been prettier, etc etc... yet I think this cover serves the purpose of this album just fine. the reworked rendition of Old Town was first played on bbc radio 2 today! i can't believe they're really releasing Old Town as first single... 'Black is the Colour' is totally awesome they should've released that instead. 'My Lagan Love' would've been great too. Certainly not radio-friendly (enough), but absolutely beautiful tunes to bring beautifully written traditional Irish songs back to the spotlight. Old Town (version 2) - a more laid back version when compared to the Unplugged version not as upbeat, i have to say some energy of the song's lost because of that adore Andrea's vocals though lovely orchestra arrangements too oh wait but where's Sharon's violin? nice job!
